Did you know that almost 90% of the world's population is interested in some form of sports, even if only to watch the grand kids play ball? Sports is an excellent "bridge" God has given us to make friends and develop relationships that can provide opportunities to share Christ with others. If you have experience in using sports in ministry, or would you like to use the gifts God has given you to plant seeds and develop relationships through sports, then this may be an opportunity for you to serve.

Soccer is by far the #1 sport here in Ukraine, however, we have also used baseball and basketball in relating to young people.

Sports clinics are used to train Ukrainians how to use sports ministry, and to interact with youth and children. Sometimes "pick-up" games are used in an area of the city to make contacts with youth that could not be made in other ways. These contacts can then be used to help a local church develop ongoing sports ministry contacts with youth and children and through sports involve them in other ministries.
