East Brent Baptist Church Assists in Renovation of Revival Church in Nikopol

Nicolai Illich has been pastor of "Revival Church" for no more than 7 years but has helped to plant many other churches in that area.

A group of men from East Brent Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL, along with an additional member from Riverside, CA, arrived on October 4 to help in the renovation for one of the churches we partner with in our region. The group of 7 men is doing a variety of work, including floor and wall ceramic tile work in several rooms, mounting supports for and installing suspended ceilings, mounting supports for and installing siding for interior walls, some general carpentry, and whatever else it takes to get the job done. The group came with good “know how”, a great attitude, and a servant spirit. We thank God for their willingness to come and serve. There are a number of Ukrainians at the site working along with them as well to get as much as possible done this week.

The church they have come to work with is Revival Church, in city of Nikopol. It is a relatively new church, having been started only about 6-7 years ago. Most of the members of this church were not believers just 5 years ago. In addition to evangelizing in its own city, this church has had a determination to take the gospel to some of the surrounding towns that had no Baptist church, and are presently working in 4-5 such places to start and support new churches in those areas.

Pray for this great group of men and the Ukrainians who are working that God will continue to bless their work, that there would be no accidents, and that this project would bring glory to God by bringing this church one step closer to having their own worship area soon.
