Backyard Bible Club and Prayer Walking July 2006

A group from Harmony Association in Arkansas, near the Pine Bluff area, came in mid-July 2006 to lead Back Yard Bible Clubs, prayer walk, and help to sponsor evening evangelistic tent meetings. The group led a total of 4 Bible Clubs as well as prayer walking in each location where they worked. A total of over 300 children were involved in the clubs during the week.
Two of the Bible clubs were held in the city of Volnogorsk, population 25,000. One of them was held in a large tent, where nightly evangelistic services were held. During those services 11 people made decisions for Christ.
The second club was held in one of the city’s school facilities, being integrated into the their summer children’s programs. This was an excellent opportunity to be involved in the lives of many who do not go to church anywhere.

Two other clubs were held in the towns of Novaivanovka and Verxhovsova. The Arkansas team prepared and led the children in Bible stories, crafts, games, and just being with the children. This ministry was a great encouragement to many of the believers we worked with in these locations, as many of the children have already promised to continue coming to further ministries planned for them in the future.
Other volunteers on the team were involved each day in prayer walking, which greatly enriched the camps as well as breaking down spiritual barriers for future ministries in these areas.
The group also visited an all boys orphanage during their time in Volnogorsk and brought small gifts to the boys who live there.
