East Brent Baptist Church Project Recap. - October, 2006

In October 2006 a wonderful group of 10 construction volunteers came from East Brent Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, to partner with one of our churches in Poltava. This church in Poltava is working on a building to be a future ministry center, housing ministries that will reach out in the following ways: Crisis Pregnancy and Women’s Center, Medical ministry center, halfway center for prisoners offering temporary help for those who have been recently released from prison, feeding ministry for the hungry, youth and children’s ministries, and also house a church as well.
The team from Florida did a great job of helping to get the main bathroom facilities tiled and also a great deal of the floors tiled for what will be the main entry and hallway corridors. The group built some great relationships with Ukrainians they worked with in the project, and also had witnessing opportunities in the hotel where they were staying. One couple in the group were actually observing their first wedding anniversary while they were here on the trip.

We are grateful to the group for all they were able to accomplish while they were here working. In addition, we appreciated their great spirit of service to and love for the Lord that was demonstrated while they were here working. To God be the glory for all that was done.
