Meet Dima

Meet Dmitry Lepin (Dima), his wife Lena and his son Dima Jr.

Dima is one of the Ukrainian church planters here . He lives in Dnipr with his wife Lena and his five-year-old son Dima, Jr. They moved to Dnipr in August, 2002 to serve the Lord here.

Dima was born in Irkutsk. Served in the army in Mongolia for about two years. Soon after, he became involved with a crime syndicate in Irkutsk. In 1994 in Irkutsk Dima heard the gospel and later repented. He was baptized in 1996. After becoming a Christian he left his life of crime but was haunted by his former lifestyle in the criminal gang. On several occasions Dima received death threats from his former associations and decided that he needed to flee Irkutsk. At church one day he was introduced to a woman who was visiting from Ukraine. She learned about Dima’s problem and suggested that he immigrate to Ukraine. In 1997 he moved to Nikopol which is close to Dnipropetrovsk. At the time he believed that he was going to live in a village and raise geese for a living, but the Lord had other plans for him.
