In the early 1990's, God began to answer that prayer. A deacon named Matthew Haggai, (English translation) who was already seventy years of age at the time, was sent with a few people from the Central Baptist church of Krivoy Rog to start a church, which was planted in the northern area of the city. Matthew Haggai is not your typical seventy-year-old Baptist deacon. God blessed him with much energy and a desire to serve his Lord. "Northern Baptist Church" was blessed by God and has grown to 200 members. In addition, and very importantly, Northern Church, through the leadership of Matthew Haggai has had a vision to see other churches planted.
