Volunteer Teams make a major contribution to our strategies in reaching the lost and starting churches. Although each one is unique, volunteer projects generally last about 7-8 days and have typically involved ministries such as the options listed below.
Welcome to Dnipropetrovsk, the third largest city in Ukraine. We're glad you came to pray with us. Today we are going to take a stroll down Prospect Karl Marx, the main street of Dnipr. Karl Marx is about 3 miles long (5.3 kilometers).
On June 1st, 2002 a Team of 10 Americans from two churches in Mississippi and Louisiana traveled to East Central Ukraine to serve for a week alongside Ukrainian believers seeking to plant a church in the village of Mishurin Rog. Their specific assignment was to help conduct a four day children's "day camp" and evening evangelistic meetings. The next 26 frames tell their story and give insight into ministry in East Central Ukraine. As you go take time to pray for the continuing ministry in the village of Mishurin Rog.
Meet Sofia, a testimony of persistent prayer and faith that with God all things are possible. For over twenty years of her life she prayed that there would one day be a church where she lives. Through the grace of God, and through church planting efforts, today her prayer has been answered. There IS a church in her neighborhood! We want to share this story with you more fully, and to do so we must go back a few years, to the early 1990's.
Reach Ukraine seeks to facilitate the planting of evangelical churches throughout East Central Ukraine. Our primary goals are to:
• Stimulate and encourage prayer for Ukraine
• Plan and assist in planting new churches
• Cast vision and train leadership for starting and leading new churches
• Recruit and plan projects for short-term missions teams
• Form partnerships with like-minded believers
• Mobilize other types of involvement by evangelical Christians to Reach Ukraine!
